The Ģý Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, in the Cene Lecture Hall, Room 120, in The John Elliot Center for Architecture and Environmental Design on the Kent Campus. Researchers Publish Groundbreaking Study on Environmental Impact of East Palestine Chemical Spill

The research team, including Joseph Ortiz, Ph.D., and Kuldeep Singh, Ph.D., of Ģý's Department of Earth Sciences, Sarah Eichler, Ph.D., of Ģý's Department of Biological Sciences; and the lead author, Lard, hypothesized that the combustion of chemicals like vinyl chloride in the presence of transition-metal oxides from the train, tracks and soil minerals, led to the formation of environmentally persistent free radicals (EPFRs), including dioxins and furans.

From Kent to London

Blair graduated from Ģý in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a minor in advertising. She is now pursuing a Master of Science in political science focusing on conflict studies and comparative politics at the  (LSE), planning to graduate in December 2025.
