This summer, U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg made his first visit to Ģý.
He was accompanied by U.S. Representative, and Ģý alumna, Emilia Sykes. Together, they toured Ģý's College of Aeronautics and Engineering with Dean Christina Bloebaum, Ph.D., and Ģý President Todd Diacon, Ph.D. There, they saw demonstrations of the college's cutting-edge technology and met with students and several local mayors.
Later, Diacon, with Alison Caplan, director of the May 4 Visitors Center, led Buttigieg and Sykes on a tour of the center.
